Religion
We Pray, "Glory To God!"
Lesson Goal: This lesson will focus on giving praise to God and will relate this to the angels' song of praise, which we sing at Mass.

Writing
Informational/Personal Expertise
Nonfiction reading and writing is the most common type of text that literate adults use. To aid young students in successfully writing informational text, they need to learn how to navigate through various steps of the process: generate ideas, plan, draft, revise, edit and publish. We will assist students in discovering what the different types of informational text look like and the structures and features proficient writers utilize when writing for various purposes.
The children have established their idea for their informational book. They have made the title page, the labeling page, and the first page of what it is they want to teach others about their topic. They will finish their books by adding a Table of Contents and editing.
Science
As of this moment, all of our caterpillars made it into their chrysalis!!! We have transferred them to our butterfly house and are patiently waiting for them to emerge as beautiful butterflies. They will finish their observation books and we will have to let the butterflies go. (We will do that as a class as part of "taking care of God's creation)
Please join us in celebrating your child's important accomplishment!!
KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION!

Final Note
I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of your for all of your support this year. You have amazing children and I know that they are amazing because of you!! This has been a great year for all of us. Your children have grown so much since I first met them at the beginning of the school year. I feel as though we accomplished great things this year--especially in reading and writing. In addition to academic success, I was blessed to have known such awesome young individuals. I got to know Jesus a little better though each and every one of them. I have never had a class that was so loving and truly cared about their friends (and me). I received countless hugs and "I love you's! I have cherished every moment.
Continue to be involved in your child's education. It shows up in the classroom. So does the love that you have for them. It has ben my pleasure working with you and your child this year.
May God bless all of you always!!!!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Schroeder
